The “You’ve Been Booed” tradition is a wonderful way to foster a sense of community and bring smiles to the faces of those around you. It’s not only about sharing treats but also sharing the spirit of Halloween and the joy of giving.
Halloween is the time for treats, tricks, and spooky traditions that bring our community together. One of my favorite Halloween traditions is, “You’ve Been Booed.” It’s a fun and heartwarming way to spread Halloween cheer and a little surprise to your friends and neighbors. Let me walk you through how it’s done!
The “You’ve Been Boo’d” Tradition:
- Choose a Recipient: Begin by selecting a friend, neighbor, or even a co-worker to “boo.” You can do this secretly or ask around to find someone who could use a little extra Halloween joy.
- Assemble a Boo Basket: Fill a decorative Halloween container or basket with an assortment of goodies. These could include Halloween candies, small trinkets, spooky decorations, or baked goodies. Get creative and make it unique to your recipient’s tastes.
- Download my You’ve Been Booed Printable. You’ll need to print one set of instructions and two “we’ve been booed print outs. This is so that the recipient has one to post on their own door and one to pass along to the next recipient.
- Deliver the Boo Basket: Choose a time to deliver the Boo Basket to your recipient’s doorstep, and make sure to do it secretly. Ring the doorbell and then hurry away, so they won’t see you. The element of surprise is part of the fun!
