Why you should never ask an engineer how big your pantry is…

It was an innocent request, honest. I just wondered what the measurements of my pantry were. I had asked my husband a few times and he kept forgetting so before I headed off to bed I shot him a quick email because I knew he’d be working on his computer later and see it.
I woke up this morning to find this in my inbox…

This is hilarious! I too am married to an engineer. I sent him to your site to see this. You should see the diagrams of our garden!! Great story!!
LOL That is great… Gotta love it… Im getting ready to marry a carpenter… And well, while its way lower on the totem pole, I know better then to ask questions about size… But even more so, I know better then to try to do any kind of “work” around him… LOL Because he watches my EVERY move.. Do I dare tell you we are do a COMPLETE remodel of a house we inherited and were FORCED to gut completely… I do my parts while he is at work.. LOL and then I work when he is doing his parts!
Well…my husband is NOT an engineer…he just thinks he’s one. Reminds me of a little banty rooster…’course I do like bantams. lol.
Gotta love him!
My hubby and I have been having a Big Bang Theory marathon. This reminds me exactly of something one of those characters would do! And your response is exactly like next door neighbor Penny! You probably should have been more specific with your question! 🙂
I have a friend who is married to an engineer. He likes to do home improvement projects, but they always wind up taking months or years because he has to have everything just perfect! I think I’m better off with my less handy husband! He can take apart a computer and put it back together, but plumbing and carpentry terrify him!
But he didn’t draw in the jar of bacon grease?? Where’s the bacon grease?? lol
Well. That clears everything up. Any more questions, Christy? 🙂
