– Granulated sugar – Ground cinnamon – Canned biscuits – Fresh apples – Butter
To make dumplings, start by boiling enough water to cover them, plus an additional 1/2 cup. Peel and chop apples into small pieces, place them in a bowl, and sprinkle them with cinnamon, ensuring they are well coated.
Roll out biscuit dough and place a generous tablespoon of apples in the center. Fold the biscuit around the apples and seal it by pinching the edges. Arrange the dumplings in aa baking dish.
To prepare the dumplings, cut 3/4 stick of butter into pats and distribute them on top of the dumplings. Pour any remaining apple pieces over the dumplings and sprinkle 1 cup of granulated sugar evenly.
Gently pour boiling water over the dumplings until they are completely covered, adding an extra 1/2 cup of water. This water will turn into a delightful syrup during baking. Bake the dumplings at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
