southern plate
– pork chops – Balsamic Vinegar – Maple Syrup* – Kosher Salt – Pepper
To make pork chops with a glaze, heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season both sides of the pork chops with salt and pepper. Cook the pork chops in the hot skillet for 3-4 minutes on each side until they are browned. Remove the pork chops and set them aside.
In the same skillet, add vinegar and stir to scrape up any bits from the bottom. Then, add syrup and mix until well combined. Return the pork chops to the pan and continue cooking until the glaze thickens, and the pork chops are no longer pink.
Remove the pan from heat and let it rest for five minutes. Before serving, make sure to coat each side of the pork chops in the glaze. Then, place them on serving plates. Enjoy!
