At Last! Today is the debut of Quick Fix Suppers, the video series I’m hosting on SouthernLiving.com. I’m so excited to bring you this series, and especially today’s recipe! Since filming these a few weeks ago, I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve made the recipe I’ll be showing you today. It’s just that good (and so very simple). At the end, you’ll see the coolest tip, too!
To commemorate the debut of Quick fix Suppers, we’d like for you to go watch the videos and come back and tell us what you think!
I’ll pick ten comments at random on Sunday night and we’ll send each of those an advance copy of the June issue of Southern Living Magazine, which hits newsstands on May 20th.
I would really appreciate it if you could help me spread the word about my new series! Please head on over and watch them and be sure and tell your friends!
Gratefully, Christy

— Series Complements New Column Based on Readers’ Questions, Debuting in the June Issue, on Newsstands May 20th
New York, NY – Southern Living introduces “Quick-Fix Suppers,” a new video series starring cookbook author and blogger Christy Jordan of Southern Plate, who demonstrates how to make dinner in 45 minutes or less.Daily time-saving tips accompany Jordan’s weekly 3- to 4-minute, how-to videos so people can spend less time in the kitchen and more time around the table. “I’ve fallen hard for Christy’s pure Southern charm, not to mention her strawberry-pretzel salad and other childhood favorites,” says Southern Living editor Lindsay Bierman. “She’s the real deal, a busy mom who found her calling to cook and blog from the heart in a way that has inspired and informed millions of readers and followers. Christy’s cooking demos make every meal seem incredibly easy and fun.”Readers can ask questions online at www.southernliving/quickfix or on Facebook. Love you and love southern living!
Great video! Sounds easy to make and yummy. The upturned muffin pan to hold them is pure Christy genius! lol!
I love your southern-to-the-max accent and especially loved the idea for the quick mango salsa and using the muffin pan as a holder!!
I will be trying this recipe! Thank you! Nifty idea on the “taco holder”! And, I think it is great that a man “called” in! I bet his wife will love the new idea for dinner!
I love it Christy! Love the recipe too! Your accent is divine and so is the
muffin tin tip! You go girl!!!! <3

Never would have thought to use the muffin pan for the tacos! Awesome idea! Loved the recipe for the tacos. Super fast and easy recipe for us working women. I’m tired when I get home from work but this was so easy and it looked so yummy too. I’ll definitely be trying this one real soon! Tanya 🙂
I think this is a great idea for Southern Living to have for the hurry-up, no time to think up or plan meals ahead of time person – both Mom and Dad working – with “Susie” having to go to dance lessons twice a week & then there’s soccer practice- brother “Tom” having baseball/band/ you name it practice – got to pick up baby “Lisa” at day care center. Oh yeah, there’s the dentist appt., plus baby “Lisa’s” dr. appt. – 2 birthday parties for kids friends this week – Oh yeah – got to bake the cake for the church youth bake sale – church Sunday, choir practice and prayer meeting Wednesday night!!!!!!!
AAGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Christy (not Calgon-remember those commercials?), take me away!
What I’m saying is to be able to go online and get a quick-fix meal idea is one of their better ideas for todays family – getting YOU to be the spokeperson and cook to help us was genius. because you are really concerned about people, you want to make life simpler for us, and besides that, with your family heritage, you are a great cook!
You are like inviting a friend to come into my home.
