I remember when I was in grade school and had a crush on a boy named Mike. I thought I was being so sly when I slipped some of those little heart shaped candies with Be Mine on them in his desk. Well, everyone and their brother knew it was me. If I was braver back then I would have plopped a plate of these beauties right on his desk and would have said “Eat your heart out!”.   • Softened butter
  • Granulated sugar
  • Baking powder
  • Salt
  • Egg
  • Milk
  • Vanilla extract
  • Flour

How To Make Heart Shaped Cookies for Valentine’s Day

Add butter, sugar, baking powder, and salt to large bowl.

In a large bowl, add the butter, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

Mix ingredients until fluffy.

Mix until well blended, light, and a bit fluffy.

Add milk, egg, and vanilla to ingredients.

    These look absolutely delicious! This recipe will work for any holiday. Just change the shape of the cookiie cutter. My mom used to make a little zoo for us using animal cookie cutters. There are so many possibilities with this recipe. So many that it is possible to sit here all night thinking up more things to do with it!

    1. When I was a youngster, my Mom would roll out the dough & let me use my favorite animal cookie cutters to cut out the cookies. That was as much fun as eating them!
