  1. Lol! I’ve searched 5 of these in the last 3 wks! I don’t keep a recipe file, I just jump back on here and re-search! BTW, the hot water cornbread, loose meat sandwiches, and the hamburger steak are awesome!!!!!

  2. Thank you for the fantastic receipes through out the year! I’ve used several of the at home, but I used quite a few at the Fire Station! If I share these as Firehouse favorites, I always give you credit. BTW, I just shared the “meat shredding with a mixer” tip and it was a hit!

  4. Hi- Just finished reading this, and I printed the carrots recipe and read over the chicken and rice recipe. Seeing the fact that you are to cook your rice before adding it to the crock pot made me think of something….Several (maybe 7?) years ago, I purchased a microwave rice cooker. I use that thing ALL THE TIME. It is without a doubt one of my favorite items in my kitchen, Cooking rice is never a big deal for me effort-wise or time-wise. Just wondered if you had ever tried it.
