So kick back, let the slow cooker do its thing, and get ready for a taste of Southern hospitality that’ll have you coming back for seconds.
This recipe really is incredibly simple (just how I like it)! All you need is 5 simple ingredients to bring this supper to life, and these are 5 ingredients you probably already have in your home. Add in the fact that this slow cooker meatloaf is made in, well, the slow cooker, and you’ve got a meal that requires practically zero effort!
What You’ll Need to Make Slow Cooker Meatloaf:
Ingredients:
- ground beef
- tomato soup
- cream of mushroom soup
- dry onion soup mix
- an egg
How to Make Slow Cooker Meatloaf:
Place meat, eggs, and onion soup mix in a large bowl.
*If you want to be sneaky, you can mix in a quarter cup of ground flax seed with the meat to sneak in Omega 3 and fiber!
Mix those ingredients together until they are combined. Try using your hands to mix – they work perfectly here!
After those ingredients are well-combined, shape the meat mixture into a loaf. Place your loaf in the bottom of your slow cooker.
Pour a can of cream of mushroom soup over the loaf. I spread mine around a bit with the can so that it is coating the top of the meatloaf.
Pour a can of tomato soup on top of everything!
Cover and cook the meatloaf on the low setting for 8 hours, or on the high setting for 4 hours.
And there you have it! An easy, no-nonsense, made-with-ingredients-you-have-in-your-pantry Slow Cooker Meatloaf! Bon appetit!
Serve with a side of green beans (could even just be canned green beans) and/or mashed potatoes and you are good to go! How’s that for a quick and easy weeknight meal?!

- 2 pounds ground beef or turkey
- 1 large egg
- 1 packet onion soup mix

Christy,
I like the idea of Flat Christy going to all 50 states! I bet she’d love the High Desert of Oregon… High Cascade Lakes, Hiking along the river…
Can’t wait to try the slow cooked meatloaf! (unfortunately, we just had it on Tuesday. LOL!) I think I speak for many of us here that we seriously would love the recipe for those potatoes! Thanks for all that you do, Christy! You make my day all the time and I love your recipes.
*I mean my version of meatloaf! LOL
Dear Christy,
What a great idea, if Flat Christy is up to it, I would love her to visit the Walkers in England. We would show her the local castle and market town etc. I’m sure she would appreciate an English High Tea. haha
I made the meatloaf, but put Royal Game Soup on the top instead of the mushroom and tomato as my husband is not a fan of either.- sighs-I know, I know. – and it turned out great.
Once again, what a great idea, and am waiting for another trip of hers to be posted.
I’m all for a flat Christy world tour!! Fair warning, the wonder twins tend to color their paper dolls blue. I don’t know why.
That meatloaf looks great! Can’t wait to try it out!
I’m a dork! I forgot to mention that you’re more than invited to stop by. The wonder twins and I live up here in Vancouver, WA. We could go puddle jumping (it’s safe to say it might be a wee bit rainy!), do some crafts, and have a yummy dinner!
I think flat Christy is a success!!!! She may have to have her own blog site. I can’t wait for her next adventure. Looking forward to trying the crockpot meatloaf.
Flat Christy should make her way out to Utah. We can take her to our scuba diving trip in the Caribbean this July. We would have to get her a tiny wetsuit to wear (laminated) but I bet she’ll love it! She could help my two kids 11 and 13 invent a new dish. I’m so lucky that my son likes to invent new dinners and my daughter is quite the baker!
such a great and fun idea. I would love to have flat Christy come visit us here in middle TN (Murfreesboro to be exact). Our town is gorgeous, rich in history, and growing bigger every day so there is lots to see and do around here.
I am a sahm to 2 kiddos who also keeps 2 kiddos during the day, so to say she wouldn’t be lonely is an understatement:) Depends on when she comes but we are always busy with something. Baseball is about to get up in running full force especially this spring since the youngest has started playing also. My hubby will be running in the Music City half marathon in April with his sister and BIL and could definitely use one more in his cheering section. Mid July we will be off to the beach for our annual trip. There will be lots of fun going on there from fishing to scalloping to snorkeling. During the summer we hag out around the house alot with friends and visit the zoo alot. We plant a huge garden every year and another helping hand is always appreciated.
I love to cook especially when I can find a recipe my entire family will love-which I am sure you know all to well how that can be. My daughter is my budding chef’s assistant and loves to get in the kitchen with me.
