Picture this: slow cooker meatloaf, the epitome of Southern comfort cooking. It’s like a warm hug from Grandma’s kitchen, where simple ingredients come together to create magic. No fuss, no frills—just good ol’ down-home flavor, perfect for lazy Sundays or busy weeknights. So kick back, let the slow cooker do its thing, and get ready for a taste of Southern hospitality that’ll have you coming back for seconds.
This recipe really is incredibly simple (just how I like it)! All you need is 5 simple ingredients to bring this supper to life, and these are 5 ingredients you probably already have in your home. Add in the fact that this slow cooker meatloaf is made in, well, the slow cooker, and you’ve got a meal that requires practically zero effort!
What You’ll Need to Make Slow Cooker Meatloaf:
Ingredients:
- ground beef
- tomato soup
- cream of mushroom soup
- dry onion soup mix
- an egg
How to Make Slow Cooker Meatloaf:
Place meat, eggs, and onion soup mix in a large bowl.
*If you want to be sneaky, you can mix in a quarter cup of ground flax seed with the meat to sneak in Omega 3 and fiber!
Mix those ingredients together until they are combined. Try using your hands to mix – they work perfectly here!
After those ingredients are well-combined, shape the meat mixture into a loaf. Place your loaf in the bottom of your slow cooker.
Pour a can of cream of mushroom soup over the loaf. I spread mine around a bit with the can so that it is coating the top of the meatloaf.
Pour a can of tomato soup on top of everything!
Cover and cook the meatloaf on the low setting for 8 hours, or on the high setting for 4 hours.
And there you have it! An easy, no-nonsense, made-with-ingredients-you-have-in-your-pantry Slow Cooker Meatloaf! Bon appetit!
Serve with a side of green beans (could even just be canned green beans) and/or mashed potatoes and you are good to go! How’s that for a quick and easy weeknight meal?!
Ingredients
- 2 pounds ground beef or turkey

I’d love to have flat Christy visit us. 🙂 Even if we do live in the same state we have different cooking styles and flat Christy would probably get to sample some yummy and kid friendly Mexican inspired cuisine or one of my specialty pizzas.
I don’t have younguns of my own but I do have a niece and nephew that would love to design FC’s wardrobe.
FC would have lots of kitties to play with so she wouldn’t miss Daz or Thumbcat. If she came soon she’d get to go to tee ball games. There would be lots of VeggieTales watching and we’d go walking in the Chief Ladiga trail and have a picnic and possibly take her to Noccalula Falls.
Fantastic idea, Christy! We had so much fun with Flat Christy. She really is the perfect house guest. 😉 I can’t wait to bring our neighbor, Faye, over here to see her blessed husband’s favorite meal up on this awesome website.
Since Flat Christy has already been to Texas, this may be a bit redundant … but we’d love to have her come visit us in Lago Vista, just outside Austin, in central Texas! She could go to all our Scout events with us (both Girl and Boy), come to the home school co-op and the elementary school, cheer at our soccer games for Andrew (12) and Sarah (9), help Mom with work, and return home with a delicious vegetarian recipe (or several) you could serve to the most determined carnivore and not have him know the difference!
We’d purely love to host FC. She could just come by her own self, without a box of goodies, even; she’d be that welcome. (We’d purely love to host the real Christy too, but we understand her family comes first.) Please put us on your visiting list!
Sincerely,
Julia (Mama), Bryce (Papa), Andrew, Sarah, Akeem and Jiffy (the kitties) and Miss Skittery (the hamster)
This is totally cool! My family and I would love to host flat Christy. We live in SE Indiana (20 minutes outside Cincinnati, OH). Our family all enjoys cooking, my oldest has become a regular in my kitchen. Even my husband enjoys cooking when he gets to go all out. We’d love to show flat Christy our home DIY projects that are currently underway (or when they are finished so you don’t have to see the mess!).
how in the world did you know that i have been craving some meatloaf, and just don’t have time to get it baked by dinner/supper time since everyone is so hungry? 🙂 definitely trying this soon!
we are in south alabama in troy. i have two girls who would love to design a new outfit for flat christy! 🙂
We would love to have flat Christy visit us in Concord. Maybe take her over to Lowes Motor Speedway for a visit! I have 9 and 4 year olds and they would love to show Christy around town!
Sorry, it’s Concord, NC we would love to have Christy visit.
I am so glad to see that Flat Christy had fun in Texas! I am grew up in Texas and lived there until I got married and moved out here to North Carolina. I like it here, but I just can’t get use to the pork BBQ! I need me some BEEF BBQ! Oh and some smoked brisket! Man oh man I can’t wait to go back to Texas to visit!
I can’t wait to try this crock pot meatloaf! I love love love my crock pot! It gets lots of use since I am working mom that commutes to work. So by the time I get off work and get the kids picked up and get home it is after 6:00 and I am wore out. Oh, and that is only if we don’t have soccer, gymnastics, or something else going on that evening. So the crock pot has become my friend!
