How to Make Slow Cooker Chicken and Rice
Place your chicken breasts in the bottom of a slow cooker.
Chop onions and sprinkle over chicken breasts.
Cover chicken and onions with the cream of mushroom soup.
Cook on low for 7 – 8 hours, or high for 4-5 hours. I prefer to cook on low, it just makes the chicken fall apart!
Prepare the long grain and wild rice according to the package directions (you could even do this the night before and store in the fridge). At the end of cooking time, add the cooked rice to the slow cooker.

Just a quicl question…i have a whole chicken.can i put the whole thing in the crock and should i use more than one can of soup since it’s bigger?after that i was going to debone it and return it to liquid in crock when adding rice??thought maub jt would b a boneless chicken and rice.lol.but i didnt want it to be too runny or too thick.what do ya ladies think?does any of that make sense??lol.help meeeeeee!!!
Returned to this yummy crockpot meal after a lovely, fall drive. Smelled heavenly! I used leeks, added fresh rosemary, cooking sherry and mixed raisins and cranberrys. Sprinkled pecans on top before serving. Wonderful!

Hi Christy, I kicked up this recipe a little by browning the chicken with a nice sear on both sides, chopped up a little fresh rosemary and using Campbell’s Golden Mushroom soup. It made it very rich and hearty. Just before serving I sprinkled a little fresh parsley on top. YUM !!!! Thanks for this recipe.
