Place apple juice in a 5 or 6-quart slow cooker. Stir in spices and caramel and place heat on low.

After one hour, stir well again.

  3. I made this for a baby shower this month thinking it would give my guests a choice of a cold or hot drink and be a nice alternative to punch. It tasted good, but I also had the problem of it looking curdled and unappetizing. I used Dulce de Leche for the caramel – should I have used caramel ice cream topping instead? I noticed you referred to stirring in the caramel syrup in a previous comment, but the instructions said to use a jar of caramel. I really want to know what I did wrong because the flavor was delicious.

  4. I made this today in the crockpot and the flavor is great but the spices did not dissolve into the mixture. I followed the directions except my crockpot cooks fast so I turned it to warm the last 20 min. Any suggestions?
