Brrr! We have a cold front moving in that is causing our temperatures to drop every minute. In the past hour, it has dropped 20 degrees. This is the perfect day to cozy up to something warm for supper so I thought I’d share with you some of my reader’s current favorite slow cooker recipes!
I just posted this one last week and y’all are loving the sauce as much as we do! Reports have been coming in of folks licking their plates. With a perfect substitute for wine, this Beef Burgundy is simple, decadent, and suitable for everyone. Prefer wine? Just substitute wine for the wine substitution ;).
I first had this when a friend made it for my family and it’s been one of our go-to suppers ever since. Even my picky eaters ask for extra sauce!
This is a great full bodied chili, with just enough flavor but not too much spice.
When I find something I love, I stick with it. I’ve been ordering this soup ever since my first trip to the Olive Garden in my teenage years. To this date, I’ve never ordered anything else off of their menu because I love this so much! However, I love this recipe even more because I don’t have to leave my house for it.
This recipe has been pinned and shared over 100 million times. Why is it so loved? Because it tastes so good and more than any other recipe I’ve encountered, the love of it seems to be almost universal. If you haven’t tried Cheesy Chicken and Rice, I encourage you to put it on your menu soon!

My late mother-in-law used to make pork chops with Spanish rice in the Crockpot. I’ve tried to find a recipe for it a long time with no luck. She didn’t use canned Spanish rice. She used regular white rice. I just can’t remember what she added to turn it into Spanish rice. She put everything in before leaving for work. Any ideas on how to find this recipe?
I use 1 1/2 cups white rice, 1 15 ounce can tomatoe sauce, water to make sauce and water 3 cups total, 1tbsp chilli powder, 1/2 tsp cumin, 1/2 cup chopped onion. Spray crockpot with pam, mix rice ingridients, pour incrockpot, lay chops on top….you can brown if you wish….cover cook on high1 hour and reduce to low for 4 hours, or continue on high
Hi Meredith!! Perhaps start by search homemade Spanish rice? It may be that she created that recipe on her own which is going to make it more difficult to figure out. I wish you luck in finding the perfect recipe!!
Hi Christie! I love your crock pot recipes, my favorite being Tender Roast and Veggies, tasty and simple! Do you have or recommend any websites for Instant Pot recipes? I got one for Christmas and I’m trying it with some recipes I’ve found, but not caring for the end results very much. I know you will have some that myself and my family will love! Thanks and stay warm out there!
Your angel chicken is awesome!! People who don’t even like chicken love it!
