I’ve been giving this a lot of thought, trying to come up with what I’d really like most of all. We have a roof over our heads, food on the table, and two healthy kids so there really isn’t a whole lot more to ask for. On the selfish side, I have some pots and pans that I love, two cats that are extra cuddly, and a dog that is so devoted the kids refer to her as “Mama’s Shadow”.
But it IS Christmas after all and I really should come up with something I’d like to have so here goes…
I’d like to pick up a few more school papers and find these on the back of them.
I’d like to enjoy more grins, chuckles, and silly jokes from these two little critters.
I might even like to get gussied up a time or two more and go out with this critter…
I’d like another year filled with good food and folks to share them with.
But most of all, I want another year of a whole lot of this.
🙂
…and a new hair dryer. Hey, I do have SOME material needs ~winks~

Disclaimer: I have partnered with Nestle Family to be a part of this Holiday Exchange series of blog posts. I have not been paid for a positive opinion and all opinions expressed within this post are my own. I haven’t left the house without makeup since I was in third grade and my hair requires enough product to sink a ship just to look like it isn’t clinging to my head for dear life. Oh, and I’ve broken both my pinky toes so many times I can no longer move them. ~takes a deep breath and smiles in satisfaction~. I feel all disclosed now. Good Luck!
I wish I could surprise my wonderful husband of 40…soon to be 41 years in January…a trip to see the The USS Arizona Memorial, in Hawaii, and I know he’d love to see the volcanoes. I also wish that all our servicemen and women are held safe until they return home to their loved ones.
I think the only thing I have on my list is some new clothes. I have everything else I could want. I have the best family in the world
I would like a nice vacation! Hope everyone has a blessed & Merry Christmas!
I’m wanting a DISHWASHER this year! 🙂
I’m not a huge fan of doing dishes, but really I want one so that I can hide my dirty dishes in a pinch when I get a “I’m coming over” at last minute from friends and family! 😉
(…and keep these good recipes a’comin!) lol
This year my material list has gotten even shorter. I wish for my family’s continued good health; our continued growing together; my husband to continue being employed when so many around us are losing jobs; and for the few extras that make life a bit more enjoyable (like those really nice knitting needles I salivate over, the monster trucks my boys asked for, and the video game hubby keeps eyeing:).
Lots of time mingled in with lots of love, laughter, food and special memories with all my family (husband, my mom, daughter, son-in-law and two granddaughters, son, daughter-in-law, and two granddaughters, brothers and sisters, etc.). On the material side, to finish my kitchen and bath floors.
Have a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!!
Christy, honestly this year has really been a year for me and also my family. My brother in law, who was married to my sister of 10 years died suddenly at the age of 36 of a heart attack. He left behind his wife, a 9 year old boy and a 5 year old girl. Every since this has happened the family has not stayed at their house one night and have moved in with my mom. They have been remodeling the house since then and are almost ready to move in. Of course, if anything was on my Christmas List, it would be to bring him back, but being that is not the case, I just want my sister and her family to feel complete again. I know when they go back into their home, it will be different and it will take alot of adjusting, especially without haveing my mom there either, but I just wish that they could find strength, joy, peace, and happiness as they venture into the house that holds so many memories of their dad and husband. This is the only thing that I have on my list and I hope Santa, finds it to be so, and grants it for me!! Merry Christmas!!!
