  1. The only thing needed here is a box of Slow Cooker Liners and you won’t even have to wash the cooker after dinner.

  2. Like Elaine I’m not a fan of thighs but I will be making this with chicken breasts. Bet it would be good with pork too. I love my slow cooker – no heated kitchen like with oven AND I don’t need to babysit all the time

  3. Christy, I was researching your slow cooker. I really want a programmable one. One big issue people say is that this one will shut off randomly for no reason. Do you have that issue? I’m kind of lost about which slow cooker to buy!

    Thanks for the recipe!

    1. Hey Sharidan!
I use a programmable one and have never had a problem with it, this is the link to the same model I have http://snipurl.com/108ok . All of my slow cookers are made by Hamilton Beach and in my personal opinion, they’re the best!
I have four or five Hamilton Beach ones, lol! This is my absolute favorite though 🙂 I love the rubber seal and the clamp down lid. My mother now has one just like it and my sister asked for one for her birthday so Mama bought her the same model too!
      Gratefully,
      Christy

  4. I know what will be in my slow cooker tomorrow! I am going to use breasts though. Not a big fan of thighs. Thanks for the new recipe.

  5. Nothing simpler than this! Christy, I have a question for you…my slow cooker is a larger-than normal, oval shaped one. I think it’s a 6 qt. size, and most recipes call for a 3.5 to 4.5 qt. one. Should I just buy a smaller one, or can the recipes be adjusted for the larger Crockpot?

  6. I GUESS I NEED TO USE MY SLOW COOKER MORE OFTEN. THIS LOOKS LIKE A GREAT RECIPE; EASY AND NPT MUCH CLEAN UP…..THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR RECIPES!!!

  7. This sounds like a great recipe. I’m going to cook it tomorrow. I too love my slow cooker, wouldn’t trade it for anything. Well, maybe a personal cook to move into my house, but that would be it! As always Christy, another great post from you. Keep it up!

    1. Julieruns – My favorite small 1 1/2 quart slow cooekr is from the 80 s and it’s still going strong. Unless you notice any issues with it I think it should be fine.If you do go ahead and get a newer one, cook with it on a cutting board or trivet the first time in case you have sensitive counters .
