I don’t know how it is where y’all live right now, but where I am, it feels like it’s 190 degrees in the middle of the day. Even the air conditioner can’t keep up with the amount of heat bearing down on us this time of year so the last thing I want to do is heat the house up even more by turning on my oven. This recipe roundup features some amazing suppers that can all be cooked in the Crock Pot (slow cooker) so no heating up your house! You could use this post alone and have 10 Days of No Fuss Suppers! I’ve also added in a nice selection of cool summer desserts to finish off the meal!

Made the Gooey Chocolate Spoon Cake on Saturday for a big family gathering! It was a HIT!! Loved it! 🙂
I am so glad it was a hit!!! Hope you had a wonderful weekend!!
I hope you enjoy your visit in Indiana at the Ball factory. I live about 2 hours northwest but I’ll be waving a welcome to hot Indiana when you are here. Love your recipes.
Thank you so much Janey!! I can’t wait to visit your great state!!
I just tried the Fork Tender Swiss Steak for dinner tonight, and it was excellent! So easy, yet so delicious. I’ll definitely be making it again. Thanks, Christy!
I am so glad you liked it Samantha!!! Thank you for trying it!!
Thank you! The humidity has been horrible up here in West Virginia. I think it’s rained more this summer than it has for the past 20 years. Definitely looking forward to trying out some of these recipes!
So many great recipes to enjoy while beating the heat. Thanks ! Now, I’m wondering about Mama. For awhile she was sharing some great recipes fairly regularly. I miss her ! And, I sure hope she’s okay….
Hey Lilly! She’s fine. In fact, today is her birthday! She’s gotten busy with grandkids, three live with her and she keeps two more during the day so I’m afraid my little family doesn’t get to see much of her these days.
A belated Happy Birthday to your mom! I always think of her when I make her Scalloped Potatoes, which we love and my husband requests all the time. Plus, I had never made my own cheese sauce until that recipe, so I think of her as having taught me how to make one. Like she said in that recipe post, it can be used for mac and cheese, which I’ve done several times now.
Also, I’ve made your mom’s Cheese Lover’s Chicken Pot Pie too many times to count now. It’s a favorite of ours, and my mom makes it often too. Plus, I just tried your mom’s Chicken Enchiladas the other day and they were sooo good. I can’t wait to make them again.
Your mom sure sounds busy, but she and the grandchildren are lucky to have so much time together!
That will just make her day Samantha!!!
Great!! Thank you!!
Looking forward to trying these 🙂
