  1. I love making my Granny’s Chicken and Dumplings. Every time I make them I remember her and the comfort of home:) I also love to make this dish for others.

  2. I am “famous” for your apple fritters and crockpot apple butter. It’s a hit with all ages. I give you credit where it’s due, but people are still in awe me for making them . . . and I *might* downplay how easy they are! 🙂

  3. My family loves King’s Ranch Chicken. The simplicity of the recipe plus Ranch dressing makes it an all-time favorite!

  4. All of my children ages 16, 13, 11 and 8 are learning to cook, so they take turns in the kitchen with me. I have 10 children total the rest are grown with families of their own, and all can cook because of watching me in the kitchen as these are. I let them do as much as possible, and no matter what we are cooking it always taste better because of the love we put in it. Christy, they love your cookbook they all read it before me when it arrived.

  5. Mom’s Macaroni and Cheese: I have tried to make fancier versions, but none are as good as Mom’s Mac and Cheese made with Velveeta cheese.

  6. My husband’s favorite foods that I make are what we call “soul food”, meatloaf, potatoes and purple hull peas served with, of course, CORNBREAD. He loves the cornbread hot from the oven with a lots and lots of butter. If there is any cornbread left over, he loves to put it in a big glass of milk for a late night snack.
