  1. I love to make the southern steak and gravey. I think I make it at least once every two weeks! It is warming for the soul.

  2. My favorite thing to make, cuz it is super easy and delicious – and users leftover turkey, is the Louisville Hot Brown. We just love it! I lived in Louisville for 6 years as a kid and we always had this the day after Thanksgiving and Christmas. Picture it: sliced turkey on toast with a cheese sauce over the top, cooked bacon on top of that and put under the broiler to brown. MMMM.MMM! It’s so good it’ll make ya smack yer granny!

  3. Mom always made take your breath away Turkey Dinner when we were kids growing up . . . and even as grown-ups, we still try to make “turkey dinner” the way mom did. Delicious moist turkey, rich turkey gravey, creamy mashed potatoes, candied sweet potatoes, cranberries, fresh rolls and of course pumpkin pie with real whipped cream!

  4. My kids and I love cooking together. I think they woudl agree when i say that our favorite thing to make together is ranger cookies. Those are the best cookies ever!

  5. Our favorite family recipe to make together is chicken and dumplings. We use a dumpling recipe handed down from I dont even know how many generations on my husbands mom’s side of the family. They are time consuming but even when the kids were little they loved peeling the dumplings off the counter after I rolled them and standing on a chair and dropping them in the broth. Now my daugher is grown and making them. It just warms my heart to know that piece of family history will go on..
