This holiday season, Kraft Foods teamed up with celeb Chef Marcus Samuelsson to bring in an exclusive recipe collection new content pack for on their iPad app Big Fork Little Fork. In celebration of this new addition, Kraft Foods is giving away a 16GB Wi-Fi iPad to one lucky Southern Plate Family member along with the downloadable app to spice things up for moms and their kids during this holiday season.

But first, a little bit more on how the app can help you -and your the kids- out in the kitchen. The new content pack contains globally-inspired recipes, how-to videos, and a ton of tips and tricks from Marcus himself to show just how easy it is to get everyone involved in creating meals together. The new content is really Marcus designed the content pack to bring both parents and children into the kitchen to make cooking a family affair (and a fun one at that!)

And now for the fun part: bringing this virtual cookbook into the kitchens of your readers! Below are some screenshots of the app and a recipe from the new content pack.

  1. I like to make chocolate chip cookies for my family, especially when my maternal grandmother asks me to make them.

    I also like to make spaghetti for my family: I have a family recipe given to me from my paternal grandmother and my oldest daughter’s eyes light up when she hears mommy is making “pasghetti”.

  2. My daughter and I love the Christmas season because of all the fun time we get to spend making the Christmas goodies . Peanut butter balls, white chocolate pretzel and many others are our favorites..
