This holiday season, Kraft Foods teamed up with celeb Chef Marcus Samuelsson to bring in an exclusive recipe collection new content pack for on their iPad app Big Fork Little Fork. In celebration of this new addition, Kraft Foods is giving away a 16GB Wi-Fi iPad to one lucky Southern Plate Family member along with the downloadable app to spice things up for moms and their kids during this holiday season.
But first, a little bit more on how the app can help you -and your the kids- out in the kitchen. The new content pack contains globally-inspired recipes, how-to videos, and a ton of tips and tricks from Marcus himself to show just how easy it is to get everyone involved in creating meals together. The new content is really Marcus designed the content pack to bring both parents and children into the kitchen to make cooking a family affair (and a fun one at that!)
And now for the fun part: bringing this virtual cookbook into the kitchens of your readers! Below are some screenshots of the app and a recipe from the new content pack.
The interface is colorful, interactive, informative, and FUN!

OMG THIS is so great. We love Marcus! He has some fabulous recipes that are a treat for both the eyes and the stomach. I would absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this.
I don’t have grandchildren, but I have a daughter that LOVES to bake. We make a Hershey Brownie that is to die for – she is always making it for friends at school. Now we just need to teach her how to really cook not just bake or she will forever be the take out queen.
My family loves it when I make what I have named Angie’s Tortellini. It is named after my friend (Angie) who just made it up one day.
My new favorite recipe to make is chicken pot pie!
My favorite thing to make for my family is my secret chili recipe- my kids and hubby cheer when they know it’s chili night!
I love to make my homemade spaghetti for my family. It is one meal everyone is excited to eat!
Crisp Pastel Cookies at Christmas time. I use a cookie press and make pretty shapes. The recipe uses Jello. Also the pecan pie muffins.
Oh wow favorite recipe since I love to cook this is hard. Hummm I’m gunna have to go with lasagna. I don’t make it often but when I do they have smiles and full bellies.
