This holiday season, Kraft Foods teamed up with celeb Chef Marcus Samuelsson to bring in an exclusive recipe collection new content pack for on their iPad app Big Fork Little Fork. In celebration of this new addition, Kraft Foods is giving away a 16GB Wi-Fi iPad to one lucky Southern Plate Family member along with the downloadable app to spice things up for moms and their kids during this holiday season.

But first, a little bit more on how the app can help you -and your the kids- out in the kitchen. The new content pack contains globally-inspired recipes, how-to videos, and a ton of tips and tricks from Marcus himself to show just how easy it is to get everyone involved in creating meals together. The new content is really Marcus designed the content pack to bring both parents and children into the kitchen to make cooking a family affair (and a fun one at that!)

And now for the fun part: bringing this virtual cookbook into the kitchens of your readers! Below are some screenshots of the app and a recipe from the new content pack.

    Well we make teryaki from scratch then marinade/inject a turkey and deep fry the bad boy in peanut oil. Easy way to feed ten people.
    My wife also makes banana nut bread to go with it.

  6. i love the holiday season! it’s perfect for cooking with the family…..from cutting out and decorating all those cookies, to grating the orange peel for homemade cranberry relish…..it’s the best time of the year! everyone waits for the big bowls of party mix we make…and everyone has to help with it!
