  1. WHen my husband was still alive we used to have special nights (almost like a date night) where we would make our pasta from scratch – roll it out and stuff it . We’d laugh and talk while doing this and always had red wine. While it tasted great the best part was iin the preparation. Boy, I’d almost forgotten how much fun it was.
Now my son love to make banana pancakes together. We cheat and start with a mix – add about 1/2 to 3/4 mashed banana – 1 teaspoon of vanilla. Once the pan is nice and hot I add the mix and once it starts to bubble we add sliced banana on top and it gets a beautiful brown when you flip it over.

  2. OMG there are so many favorites this time of year, but my favorite to make is homemade spaghetti sauce….we have spaghetti and sauce the first night, then spaghetti casserole with left overs the second night….and if there’s any sauce left the third night it’s sloppy joes.

  3. My favorite thing to make for my family is chicken and dumplings. I remember my mom making it when I was little, it was one of the first things I learned to make on my own, and I can make it without a recipe in front of me! Comfort food at its best.

  4. Christmas cookies! This afternoon I made some with my daughter and my three year old granddaughter. We had a great time!

  5. Leahzagna- My daughter just graduated from college today. We had family and friends over for dinner to celebrate. We served leah-zagna -a finger friendly lasagna I made for my daughter when she was a toddler. Her name is Leah so we named it after her. Its basically lasagna with penne noodles- a family favorite!!!!
