This holiday season, Kraft Foods teamed up with celeb Chef Marcus Samuelsson to bring in an exclusive recipe collection new content pack for on their iPad app Big Fork Little Fork. In celebration of this new addition, Kraft Foods is giving away a 16GB Wi-Fi iPad to one lucky Southern Plate Family member along with the downloadable app to spice things up for moms and their kids during this holiday season.

But first, a little bit more on how the app can help you -and your the kids- out in the kitchen. The new content pack contains globally-inspired recipes, how-to videos, and a ton of tips and tricks from Marcus himself to show just how easy it is to get everyone involved in creating meals together. The new content is really Marcus designed the content pack to bring both parents and children into the kitchen to make cooking a family affair (and a fun one at that!)

And now for the fun part: bringing this virtual cookbook into the kitchens of your readers! Below are some screenshots of the app and a recipe from the new content pack.

  1. My family’s favorite holiday candy is called “instant cookies”, made from cocoa, sugar, peanut butter vanilla and oats. My kids are in their 30’s and still ask me to make it for them during Christmas. Like your recipes, this one goes all the way back to my childhoon on Sand Mountain (Asbury). BTW, lovin your cookbook. 🙂

  5. My granddaughters & I like to make no flour sugar penut butter cookies ! we get together & roll the little ball & have a Ball , they ask for em all the time, they are great. My Zoe is 16 & Phoebe is 7 been making these cookies forever. we always have good talks & fun when we are cooking together ! They call it MIMI Time !

  6. Our favorite receipe to make is orange French toast with orange butter and maple syrup! It is our tradition to make it for special occasions and holidays. My 2 year old loves dipping the bread in the eggs! It’s so fun to cook with her!
