  1. The thing I cook the most is my mom’s version of “goulash”–although it’s a far cry from authentic Hungarian Goulash! I like to make it because it’s fast, it’s easy, and my family will eat it! I brown hamburger or ground turkey with chopped garlic and onions, drain it, and add some “taco” seasoning. I boil some macaroni, farfalle, or other pasta while that’s cooking. Then I mix some Ranch Style beans and some fire-roasted diced tomatoes with the drained meat and let it heat a whlie. Sometimes I mix it in with the drained pasta and sometimes I leave them separate and let everyone mix how much they want of each. Sprinkle parmesan or shredded cheese on it, and some jalapenos if you want more spice (we live in Texas so we always want more spice!), and that’s it. Even my husband and older son can manage to cook it themselves now and then! I guess it’s more Tex-Mex Chili and pasta than goulash, but my mom (in Iowa) called it goulash!

  2. We have lots of sweet family favorites….O’Henries, no bake cookies, puppy chow. There are so many wonderful sounding recipes posted in the comments that I would love to try too.

  3. Hey there!!! I hope you are having a wonderful book tour. My favorite thing that me and my husband enjoy cooking together is a boston butt, I do all the marinading and he smokes it. YUMMY!

  4. We love making chili together and competing at times. We love to make cookies and decorate them. Now, we love looking at your recipes and deciding which one to make. Tonight, we made Chicken Tortilla Soup and
    it was wonderful!!!

  5. Favorite recipe to make as a family? Papa Pomodoro for a main course – easy for my teenage son to make yet hearty and delicious – he feels such a sense of accomplishment when everyone raves over it! Then our favorite dessert to make together is caramel covered cheetos – yum!
