  1. During the Holidays—it’s my famous fudge. Which is soooo easy. But during the regular months, it’s my homemade fried chicken. My Hubby laughs and says that is why he married me!

  2. My friend and I have an annual tradition of making peanut brittle. Yum ! Yum ! Our families love the results

  3. Just one dish? Hummm – if I have to pick one then I have to pick one my Mom makes tho it’s hard. I’m 50 years old and I still miss my Mom’s cooking – she lives so far away from me that it’s rare that I get to visit. I would say that her deserts are very “southern yummy”. Everyone loves her Fried Chocolate Pies but I think I’m especially partial to her Banana Pudding – the kind with the Vanilla Wafers and banana slices. That’s the one thing we make sure we make whenever we can manage to get together. I’m sure I can make it the same way she does but it would never taste the same if she’s not sitting there eating it with us.

  4. Last year during winter break, my two boys made batch after batch of fudge, trying out every recipe they could find. Each one has a favorite and of course being the good mom that I am, I had to taste every batch! Well our winter break starts in just three more days and they are both anxious to continue with their new tradition. Funny how they came up with this on their own, it is one of the few things they do together now (they are 14 and 10) since they don’t play Lego or hang out much anymore. Thank goodness for the kitchen and the love that abounds! I’m glad I had the chance to write this, kind of a light bulb moment for me!

  5. We like to make Holiday meals together: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter – but we cannot agree on stuffing/dressing and always have several types!
