This holiday season, Kraft Foods teamed up with celeb Chef Marcus Samuelsson to bring in an exclusive recipe collection new content pack for on their iPad app Big Fork Little Fork. In celebration of this new addition, Kraft Foods is giving away a 16GB Wi-Fi iPad to one lucky Southern Plate Family member along with the downloadable app to spice things up for moms and their kids during this holiday season.
But first, a little bit more on how the app can help you -and your the kids- out in the kitchen. The new content pack contains globally-inspired recipes, how-to videos, and a ton of tips and tricks from Marcus himself to show just how easy it is to get everyone involved in creating meals together. The new content is really Marcus designed the content pack to bring both parents and children into the kitchen to make cooking a family affair (and a fun one at that!)
And now for the fun part: bringing this virtual cookbook into the kitchens of your readers! Below are some screenshots of the app and a recipe from the new content pack.

Oatmeal Cookies are a favorite recipe for my little ones- It is one they can easily help with and they love to devour! Daddy really likes them too!
We enjoy ‘crispy dogs’. People yammer for them.

What don’t I like to cook?
Nothing, everything is fun
. Why? Cause when you see the look on your loved ones faces …. What more could a Grandma , Mommie, Wife, Auntie, Daughter, best friend ask for?…. The pleasure of cooking, baking, frying, boiling, whatever it may be that suits my fancy is just a wonderful way to be artful, creative and pleasing to your palet…. with all who has the good fortune to sit down at a table and be together as a family….. Cooking brings the “Togetherness” when ya’All sit around the table, or breakfast bar, picknick table, or wherever it may be… It’s about building memories, passing down recipes that otherwise would be forgotten.

I make Bama Steak Sandwiches all the time, but in this kitchen they have to be called Volunteer Steak Sandwiches…oh yes, and Mama’s Mac n Cheese.
Love to make sugar cookies with my 2 year old, he loves to roll the dough out and then decorate his creations! 🙂
