  1. I think the favorite meal to make with and for my family is Thanksgiving. Everyone pitches in and has a job they are responsible for. Makes for fun and many collisions at the refrigerator.

  2. I make a Pasta Bake with ziti or penne pasta, peppers, onions, meatballs, and sausage, and lots of parmesan cheese, and melted mozzarella cheese on top!

  3. One of my favorites (and my friends’ favorites) is homemade Brunswick Stew. It is a real labor of love, from cooking a whole chicken, picking the meat off the bones and starting with the broth and chicken, to adding frozen baby butter beans, creamed corn, diced tomatoes, diced potatoes, diced onions, and at the last, frozen sliced okra. The secret is seasoning the chicken when you cook it–makes the chicken sooooooooooooo good and the broth even better. Then I let it cook all night in the crockpo, put it in quart jars and distribute it. They bring the empty, clean jars back and say–“more, please.” jp

  4. My children and I made homemade apple pies. I made and rolled the dough out and passed it to my daughter. She filled the dough with wonderful cooked apples and then closed and sealed the pies. They were then sent to her brother which fried the pies in an old fashioned iron frying pan (open the window to let the smoke out when he got the pan to hot)LOL until they were golden brown. It is always wonderful working with the children and letting them help to learn to do things in the kitchen.

  5. My favorite thing to make is cookies with my 12 year old son. We have the best time together. They are times I will never forget.
