  1. Our favorite recipe is anything that I’m making and all my boys (including my husband) has to do is sit down and eat!!! 🙂

  2. I have recently tried to get my kids in the kitchen with me, and we have been having a blast. The other night, we had rice krispy shaped snowman, and my 2 year old, 4 year old, and 6 year old each decorated their own. Who says we can’t make snowman out in sunny California? 😉

  3. This is the time of year when I get busy making peppermint bark and toffee bark for my family and friends for Christmas. My husband tries to tell me that the toffee bark isn’t any good and that I shouldn’t give any away, just so he can have it all!

  4. For the last 30 years there isn’t any holiday that goes by that someone doesn’t ask me to make a family recipe called ‘Good Salad’. It has that name simply because it is ‘good’. And I never tell anyone who is trying it for the first time what is in it until they decide it is ‘good’. It has mini marshmellows, crushed pineapple, cool whip and (yup!) pimento cheese! Sounds gross and looks even grosser when you are making it until it is done, but it is the most requested dish for any occasion.

  5. My favorite thing(s) to make are pies. My specialties are pecan, pumpkin, coconut, and apple. This Thanksgiving I had both of my boys in the kitchen making them under my watchful eye. They’ll know how to do it when I’m old and decrepit! My oldest loves the pecan. The baby loves the apple. I scarf up the pumpkin and the biggest baby (my husband, bless his heart) gets crazier than a June bug in May over my coconut…
It seems like an awful lot to bake but we love the family time that baking allows us to share! Good food, fellowship, and family…what more could a girl ask for?!?
