This holiday season, Kraft Foods teamed up with celeb Chef Marcus Samuelsson to bring in an exclusive recipe collection new content pack for on their iPad app Big Fork Little Fork. In celebration of this new addition, Kraft Foods is giving away a 16GB Wi-Fi iPad to one lucky Southern Plate Family member along with the downloadable app to spice things up for moms and their kids during this holiday season.

But first, a little bit more on how the app can help you -and your the kids- out in the kitchen. The new content pack contains globally-inspired recipes, how-to videos, and a ton of tips and tricks from Marcus himself to show just how easy it is to get everyone involved in creating meals together. The new content is really Marcus designed the content pack to bring both parents and children into the kitchen to make cooking a family affair (and a fun one at that!)

And now for the fun part: bringing this virtual cookbook into the kitchens of your readers! Below are some screenshots of the app and a recipe from the new content pack.

The interface is colorful, interactive, informative, and FUN!

  1. We always make no bake cookies and peanut butter balls Christmas week. I love the holidays and all the eating that goes with it.

  2. I love to make Sausage & Egg Casserole and Overnight Sweet Rolls for Christmas morning – great because they can be cooking while we open presents, then it’ time to eat that yummy breakfast! My “must make” cookie this time of the year – Fruitcake Cookies. We don’t eat fruitcake, but the cookies are wonderful. Oh, and Date Balls. And Buckeyes. And, and, and….

  3. Oh my! So many recipes to choose from. I decided that if I only had one more meal before I died what would it be. I came up with one of my Mother’s favorites. BREAST OF TURKEY WITH SUPREME SAUCE. It is a recipe suited for a romantic meal as well as for a Christmas feast.

    This recipe is in my own cookbook I had published in 1994.

  4. When my 2 1/2 year old Grand Daughter comes to my house early in the morning we make scrambled eggs. She always wants to be a helper and add the cheese to the eggs and stir in the salt and pepper. Cooking is so exciting for a 2 year old.
