  1. I love to make hot buttered milk for my family on a chilly winter night. I use 4 cups milk, 1/2 stick of butter, 1/3 cup brown sugar and still until hot. Pour into mugs and top with a little freshly grated nutmeg. Almost like warm pudding in a cup. Hope you try it and love it . . . and hope that I win the iPad!!! 🙂 Happy holidays and thank you for sharing all your great recipes with us!

  2. Chili is one of my favorite recipes to make and share. We all have a little bit of a different twist to it. It’s definitely ‘chili-weather’, even in the south this week.

  3. My most requested recipe is for my cheesecake. Its great because my 4 yr old can help with the measuring and pouring and my 8 yr old gets to practice breaking eggs. We make a big production of it and the kids have a great time. The recipe is adapted from a recipe I found about 25 years ago in a novel. It has pecans in the crust and a sour cream topping baked on topping. Yum I think I’ll make one this week.

  4. I grew up making Sour Cream Pound Cake with my Grandma Frances. She is no longer with us and I’m the only one in family that knows how to make the cake so it’s like she and I have a secret that no one in our family can share.

  5. It just wouldn’t be Christmas at our house without a cranberry coffee cake or a buttermilk pie. There are lots and lots of other favorites but those two are the “must haves” at the holidays.
