My favorite recipe to make for my family is a Butternut Squash Casserole with a Praline-type topping. I adapted it from a sweet potato casserole recipe that I had for many years. My dad came to visit and brought a basket full of butternut squash from his garden, but he nor Mom knew a good way to cook it. So we experimented and made a delicious dish that all of my family requests every time we get together, even the grandchildren. It’s much lighter than sweet potatoes.
Hi Mary Anne – I would love to try your butternut squash casserole – that’s sounds wonderful. If you’re willing to share and see this, my email is: contact(dot)thebooklady(at)gmail.com
Thanks so much! Tina
I love making Chicken Spaghetti with my mom! Anytime it was someone’s birthday growing up, they got to pick the menu for supper. Every year, my choice was Chicken Spaghetti. My mom recently taught me how to make it, so now that I’m on my own, I can enjoy it anytime I like. It’s a great memory I’ll keep forever. : )
Homemade macaroni with sharp and medium cheddar cheese! And in the morning we have Breakfast casserole with more cheese!
Hi Christy!
Your site has been the biggest blessing to me, and I love your new cookbook!
My family loves to eat my peanut butter pie. It was my grandmother’s recipe, and I haven’t served anyone who doesn’t love it. Family recipes are the best, anyway. 🙂
That would have to be the Austrian Vanille Kipferl cookies I make at Christmas. Those have been my children’s favorites as long as they can remember!
Beer Brat Pasta. Nice change of Christmas Eve or the few days following the holidays.
My favorite recipe is your Deep Dish Pizza recipe…my stepson requests it all the time and I love making it because it is so easy. Thanks Southern Plate for making dinner at my house always wonderful. We are not able to exchange gifts this year in my family but I am still hoping that Santa brings us your cookbook for Christmas.
