  1. What a great idea! I have thought about how neat it would be to have all your recipes and your web page on an I Pad so I could carry it to the kitchen. My family loves a good pot roast slow cooked. My daughter loves mac and cheese. I am telling everyone about your web page and cook book. Of all my collection of cook books I really love the simplicity of yours.

  2. Recently we’ve most enjoyed making Ham ‘n’ Bean Soup (aka Ham Bone soup). It brings back memories of sorting through bags of dried beans with my Greatgrandmother for supper. And with our leftover holiday ham, it is the perfect way to use the bone for extra flavor. The soup is hearty, filling, and spicy (not to mention inexpensive). How much better can you get? We’ve also taken to making glazed nutty bread pudding with left over dinner rolls….a new family favorite!

  3. My now college aged daughter and have always made homemade goodies for the holidays. She will be home very little this Christmas as she is now working and can make some good money during the holidays. She sent me a facebook message to make sure during her short time home that we make time to make Toffee and Caramel Corn (my grandmother’s recipe- she lived to be 103)! She also posted recently on her FB status “Thanks Mom and Dad for teaching me valuable life skills like how to make a great grilled cheese and PB & J!

  4. *****My favorite meal to share with my family is my Grandma Mary’s Spaghetti & Meatballs. She is no longer here to share it with us but when I smell it cooking it zaps me right back to her kitchen, ahhhhh = ) I knew it was going to be a good day when I could smell garlic and onions as I walked up to her house. Those were the good ole days. She would be thrilled to know her great great grandchildren absolutely love them. For that I am truly thankful!
