Don’t you just love seeing the gorgeous food on the cover of each issue of Southern Living? Today I thought it might be fun if you join me in my kitchen while I cook the cover!

Note: I cut the cooking time by about ten minutes when I baked it in a 9×13 pan instead of the suggested springform pan.

For this recipe, pick up a copy of the November 2011 issue of Southern Living or visit them online at SouthernLiving.com (click here to go directly to the recipe).

But I *really* think you should get a copy because there are 103 recipes in this issue alone!

  1. I’m so glad I found you Christy! I’m a northern gal who is southern at heart ;). This looks so good & I saw it in my Southern Living magazine. Thank you for your positive outlook each & every day!!

  2. Me! Me!…oh Me! Saw your demo at Southern Living’s Taste of Charleston’s and Fell In Love with your southen charm! Have cooked several of your recipes since then….but oh how I would love to win a signed copy of your cookbook!

  3. I gave two of the cookbooks last year to my nieces. Based on the other posts that’s a common event. One of my nieces is from California and is enjoying using it to learn the art of southern cooking. A group of us attended Christy’s presentation last year at UNA and loved it! We’re looking forward to attending the event at the Marriott this year!

  4. I am becoming more and more convinced we’re kin! My maiden name was Reed, and we lived in Hamilton, AL. We are surely cousins in the kitchen, at least. No wait, does that disqualify me?!
