Don’t you just love seeing the gorgeous food on the cover of each issue of Southern Living? Today I thought it might be fun if you join me in my kitchen while I cook the cover!
Note: I cut the cooking time by about ten minutes when I baked it in a 9×13 pan instead of the suggested springform pan.
For this recipe, pick up a copy of the November 2011 issue of Southern Living or visit them online at SouthernLiving.com (click here to go directly to the recipe).
But I *really* think you should get a copy because there are 103 recipes in this issue alone!

Thank you, Jenny!
Would love a copy of your cookbook. You make me feel better with your positive outlook.
There are not enough hours in the day to prepare all the wonderful goodies you give to us!!
Christy, I have really enjoyed seeing you on Facebook and trying some of your recipes. I have share with several of my friends about how you share recipes that were like those of our mothers and grandmothers sometimes. It makes it very special.
This sounds wonderful. I can’t wait to make this. And I am really excited to see the show with Paula Dean on the 5th. I love her and her recipes so if you are going to be on her show you must be really special! Have fun with Paula and say “Hi” for me….LOL!
I made the Uptown Beef Patties with Ketchup Gravy and they were delecious! In fact, I’m having the last of them for supper tonight. I added a little sweet and spicy chili sause to punch it up a bit and served with saffron rice. Nice.
I work out of town and bring along a slow cooker and appreciate your recipes for it!
This looks AMAZING! So nice that you used a 9×13 pan!! I would have been afraid to change the pan that much, but I applaud your simple approach to cooking outside the lines! 😉 Thank you, Christy!
Oh yum- I’m going to buy this issue of Southern Living tomorrow!
