I dearly love cherry vanilla ice cream and this one is right on the money! The best part, though, is that you don’t need an ice cream freezer! Just mix it up, spread it into a pan, and place in your regular freezer in your kitchen. The recipe is below and you’ve got to taste it to believe it! Steps To Make No Churn Candied Cherry Vanilla Ice Cream

To make this, you’ll need: Heavy Cream, Sweetened Condensed milk, Vanilla, and a cup of Candied Cherries, chopped*.

  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat heavy cream with an electric mixer until stiff peaks form.
  2. Pour in sweetened condensed milk and vanilla and stir by hand until incorporated.
  3. Spoon half of this into a freezer safe container (I’m just using a Pyrex loaf pan here) and top with half of the chopped candied cherries. Swirl with a knife just a bit. Top with the remaining ice cream mixture and the remaining cherries and swirl once more.

*See recipe card at bottom for substitution option.

Ready To Freeze No Churn Candied Cherry Vanilla Ice Cream

Cover this with foil or cling wrap and freeze for 5-6 hours or overnight. When it is time to serve, remove the container from the freezer and let sit on the counter for 5-10 minutes before serving to soften.

  4. 5 stars
My Daddy used to love eating a dish of ice cream every night before bed and I think he would have loved this. We sadly lost him last year on April 29, 2020. Because of Covid we weren’t able to see him in the hospital before he passed. I was very comforted to know that I was the last person to speak to him on the phone before he passed and he even said an extra “I Love you” when we were hanging up…I love him and miss him every day but am happy that he and my Mama are reunited after 14 yrs apart…my Husband LOVES ice cream too and I know he’ll love this so I’ll make it for the two of them…they were/are 2 of the greatest Father’s/Men I’ve ever known.

  5. Would this work if you wanted to churn it in an ice cream machine? I love the smooth texture of churned ice cream!
