The Ingredients You’ll Need to Make this Cheese Soup recipe are:
- Borden® Sharp Cheddar Cheese
- Butter, Heavy Cream (or milk)
- Onion
- Chicken Broth
- Salt
- Pepper
- Paprika
Note: It is best not to use pre-shredded cheese for this as it won’t melt as well as the block cheese will.
While Brady handles the cheese grating, Katy is getting started with the first step over on the stovetop.
I am specifically using Borden® Cheese here because it is delicious, all natural, and is made by a cooperative of over 8,000 family owned dairy farms across the United States. The cheeses they offer include: Mild Cheddar, Mozzarella, Mexican, Swiss, Sharp Cheddar, American, Colby Jack, and more. They are available in singles, shreds, chunks, slices, strings, and snacks! This is creamy, flavorful, delicious cheese made in our homeland and it just makes every dish better.

My family takes the challenge! As a single mom of two school age girls with a 3 hr round drive to work, it is always a challenge to find ways to spend more time with my girls. They grow so fast!
This looks quick! Can’t wait to try it with my three girls
My family will take the dare. My husband and I are continually working on table manners with our four year old boys, trying them to sit still and eat. That’s part of the challenge. 🙂
I love looking at the comments and seeing that so many people still sit down to dinner together! We do too. Our children are small so our meals can be very lively!
The recipe sounds so good! Always had dinner with my kids when they were growing up. My husband and I always eat dinner at the table.
Great recipe! I love the picture of your kids working together. I also appreciate the info about Borden. I do enjoy their cheese. When I was a little girl, I remember seeing Elsie the Borden cow at the state fair. I accept the Borden challenge!!
We will absolutely take this challenge!! Sitting together as a family after being apart all day is what helps to keep us grounded and our faith strong!
Thanks…and have a lovely day!
