The Ingredients You’ll Need to Make this Cheese Soup recipe are:
- Borden® Sharp Cheddar Cheese
- Butter, Heavy Cream (or milk)
- Onion
- Chicken Broth
- Salt
- Pepper
- Paprika
Note: It is best not to use pre-shredded cheese for this as it won’t melt as well as the block cheese will.
While Brady handles the cheese grating, Katy is getting started with the first step over on the stovetop.
I am specifically using Borden® Cheese here because it is delicious, all natural, and is made by a cooperative of over 8,000 family owned dairy farms across the United States. The cheeses they offer include: Mild Cheddar, Mozzarella, Mexican, Swiss, Sharp Cheddar, American, Colby Jack, and more. They are available in singles, shreds, chunks, slices, strings, and snacks! This is creamy, flavorful, delicious cheese made in our homeland and it just makes every dish better.

We almost always have dinner together. And phones are not on the menu! Too many things now draw families apart so it is important to not just eat together, but to talk and share while dining together.
We always have dinner as a family. :o)

Love me some cheese soup! I gotta try this one, it looks so easy.
Our busy lives always stop for time out at supper each night – cell phones and all media off. With a teenager who is active in sports and church youth group, my husband and I both have management positions that seem to follow up home some nights, but our supper time is family time to reflect on our day and plan for events to come. I like simple but nutritious meals and this cheese soup will definitely be a keeper. Already have several add in’s in mind.
Growing up if you were not there to join in the family at supper time then you just did not eat. My mom was strict that way. I am more relaxed about setting food on the table by the clock, and some nights we all can’t be there at one time, but one of us always sits down with our son to share in his day.
