The Ingredients You’ll Need to Make this Cheese Soup recipe are:
- Borden® Sharp Cheddar Cheese
- Butter, Heavy Cream (or milk)
- Onion
- Chicken Broth
- Salt
- Pepper
- Paprika
Note: It is best not to use pre-shredded cheese for this as it won’t melt as well as the block cheese will.
While Brady handles the cheese grating, Katy is getting started with the first step over on the stovetop.
I am specifically using Borden® Cheese here because it is delicious, all natural, and is made by a cooperative of over 8,000 family owned dairy farms across the United States. The cheeses they offer include: Mild Cheddar, Mozzarella, Mexican, Swiss, Sharp Cheddar, American, Colby Jack, and more. They are available in singles, shreds, chunks, slices, strings, and snacks! This is creamy, flavorful, delicious cheese made in our homeland and it just makes every dish better.

Hi Christy! Thank you for this recipe! It looks like something that would fit my family’s low carb diet and still let us have fun customizing! I would like to make this together with my husband this week. Thank you for sharing and for the giveaway! Thank you Borden, also! 🙂 I accept this challenge.
There’s nothing more special than cooking together as a family and then sitting down together to enjoy the fruits of our labor.

We eat dinner together every night!
I accept this challenge, and love anything that brings our family closer together.
It is only two of us at home now, and we do sit at the table together and eat with no tv or phones. When there were two children at home, we sat at the table for almost every meal. This is how my grandchildren are being raised now. Thanks for your encouragement to us all, Christy. You are a Godly inspiration.
I love this. So earthy, easy, and good.
