  1. Christie, a new oven sounds wonderful… I really enjoyed your video it is so nice to read or hear something up lifting and funny. I am sorry you have to pay to post on Facebook… shame on them. I pray blessings on you & your family.

    Thank you for being you,

  2. Hi Christy! I am a brand new follower of you and souternplate. I stumbled across you and a fabulous recipe on fb and am I ever glad I did! I just finished watching the first video chat ever and I just had to say hello! You are SO uplifting and inspiring, not to mention the amazing recipes. I look forward to a long friendship! God bless you!

  3. Send me emails any time you want to as many as you want to. I had to make an interest page to get your fb postings but get them in that group every time you send them, I think.
I still have over 8″ of ice on my scooter ramp and driving it in the yard is going to be impossible for awhile here in SW TN. I also have lots of shade but some small spots of sun that I am going to use straw bales this year. I also may use potato bags again that I can move with the sun some, when it dries up.
Congratulations on the win… you will love it from what I have heard about them but I hate having gas stoves to regulate. Make sure you also install a carbon monoxide detector in addition to your smoke detector. It saved my inlaws lives one time. Love and prayers.

  4. Hey Christy! Just watched your video, congrats on the new oven know it will be put to good use! Thank you for the uplifting message, you are so right about those folks who want to just be nasty waiting to jump on you! I have lived long enough to remember when the majority of people were taught manners and used them! It is very sad what the world has become. That being said, I need to remember I am a citizen of Heaven just passing through this old world and keep on keeping on until I get there! It is nice to have that encouragement from you and I needed it! God Bless!

  5. Christy,

I’m a new “viewer” and “reader” of your books and website, and appreciate your down-home style of communication. Kinda miss that here in the desert southwest. I especially appreciate some of the more simple recipes (read: fewer ingredients!).

Congratulations on your new oven. Check with your gas company…they may help pay for running the line. Here in Tucson, the gas company gave us a discount on the line to the meter at the house because we switched to gas. We then had to plumb the house, which can be quite simple with only one or two appliances. (Be sure to get permits!)

Best wishes and blessings to you and your family. Almost feels like visiting with my cousins in Tennessee and Georgia!
