I’ve enjoyed sharing Apple Recipes with you so far this week and am happy to bring you five more today!
Old Fashioned Candied Apples
These are the quintessential candied apple with that delicious hard shell we grew up with. Nothing store bought comes close and you won’t believe how easy they are to make. Yes, YOU can do it!
Can’t eat these without a visit to the dentist? There is a recipe at the bottom of this post for those of us in this category!
Apple Doozie!
One bite of this apple dessert pizza will have you hooked – and it may even replace your traditional apple pie!
Apple Dapple Cake
This apple cake is filled with deliciousness on it’s own, but when you pour the brown sugar sauce over it…oh mercy!
This is on my list of “Things you must try before you die.”
Good ‘N Easy Apple Cake
This post also includes a story about my first encounter with an exotic Pennsylvanian at the age of 8:)
This cake is absolutely to die for and I know y’all may get tired of me sharing easy recipes with you but I can’t help it, here is another one!
Candied Apples That You Eat With A Fork!
For those of us no longer able to eat traditional candied apples ~raises hand~ here is how we can get that exact same flavor without having to visit the dentist after!

Hey Christy,
Who were the winners for The Martha White contest? I guess I wasn’t one of them, LOL!! Still would like to know where they are from.
They were announced on the post, you can see them here: https://www.southernplate.com/2014/09/win-a-months-worth-of-muffin-mixes-and-more.html
Come on folks. This is Christy’s livelihood! She shares these recipes for free and lots of them are in her cookbook — you can always buy that. I did. How hard is it to click a small box with an “x” in it. Not everything is about you and your preferences. I’m grateful that Christy shares her recipes with us — there are some folks who cannot afford to purchase cookbooks and find this medium very helpful.
Thank you Trudy!
I’m loving all the apple recipes, but can I just come to your house to enjoy them? 🙂
LOL, it might help keep me from eating them all 🙂
My goodness, the guy that commented about the car ads was right. They are downright annoying!
I like your recipes but that was just distracting.
Hey! thanks for letting me know. Please see my response to the comment above yours. I’m on it! 🙂
I believe the ad was for Honda. That is great that you are concerned about it! You are truly as nice as you seem,
I am glad you got a big sponsor and probably a big paycheck to go with it. Make all of the money you can. But it is really irritating to have a picture of a car pop up every time you scroll to another picture. How about having the cars below your pictures. I can ignore them there and not have to click them off fifty eight times.
Have to laugh at the big paycheck statement, if you only knew how much the site costs to run. I go in the negative many months I’m afraid. Thank you for letting me know about the ad. I am part of an ad network which chooses those and if there is one that is annoying I can usually contact them and they will stop running it. I will contact them in the morning but if you happen to see this can you tell me what type or brand of car it was so I can be specific? Different ads are shown at different times. I do rely on them in order to help pay for the site.
Gratefully,
Christy
Your Apple Dapple cake became a holiday staple two years ago when I first heard of your website, and I’m looking forward to trying some of the other recipes.
I have my slow cooker going right now, making the baked apple recipe you posted earlier. They don’t quite look like yours, as I asked my husband to get them ready for me while I went to the market. I’m sure they’ll taste as good, as they are smelling wonderful!!
