Fall is one of the busiest times of year for me and it leads into THE busiest time of year for many people. So today I thought I’d share with you one of my busy week meal plans. The following recipes can be made in a flash as they are either slow cooker meals or one dish meals. With a little advance planning so I have the ingredients on hand, I can put a home cooked supper on the table no matter how crazy my day gets.
Click on each title or photograph to go to that recipe. Once there, scroll down to the bottom and hit “Print” in the top right of the recipe card. After you have all 7 printed out, make out your shopping list and the planning is done!
Hint: If you have freezer and pantry space, and your budget allows, buy enough to make each recipe twice and then keep the printed recipes handy to remind you of what you have on hand on those days when supper sneaks up on ya!
Monday: Cheesy Chicken and Rice
Of course, Sunday is the first day of the week but since I am posting this on a Sunday I’m gonna assume it’s too late to offer any suggestions there.
Start your week by making things easy right out of the gate! Cheesy Chicken and Rice is everybody’s favorite and all you have to do is toss the ingredients in your slow cooker in the morning, then cook the rice when you get home and stir that in along with a can of corn and some shredded cheese. BOOM! Supper is ready.
Tuesday – Lasagna Skillet
Tuesday is another simple one with this meal in one that is made in under thirty minutes. This one is also budget friendly!
Wednesday – Angel Chicken
Wednesday is a busier night at our house and we often need supper a little early. This is easy when Angel Chicken has been cooking all day just waiting for you to arrive! Boil some pasta to go along with it and supper is done!
Thursday – Creamy Chicken Skillet
Use whatever vegetables you have on hand to make his thirty minute skillet meal. The sauce is delicious spooned over pasta!
Friday Feast – Linda’s old Fashioned Spaghetti
Celebrate the end of a week well lived with an Italian feast that doesn’t require all the work! Linda’s Old Fashioned Spaghetti cooks in your slow cooker while you are taking care of other things. Add some crusty bread and sit down to comfort.
Simple Saturday – Taco Soup
Keep your Saturday free for fun by planning Taco Soup for supper! All you have to do is open a few cans and let it simmer for fifteen minutes to make this incredibly flavorful supper.
Note: A can of drained and rinsed black beans make an excellent substitute for ground beef if you want to make this even easier.
Sunday – Greek Chicken
A big meal can still be done in one dish! This flavorful and filling Greek Chicken is an excellent Sunday dinner with only one pan to clean!
Have a great week and remember, life is sweet but you won’t know that unless you take time to savor it whenever possible!
Have you added more recipes? I don’t see more and hope I am just looking in the wrong place. Thank you for the inspiration. I didn’t have 2-gallon bags so I used grocery bags for some. I have 6 done so far and am adapting some of my recipes. Love your site!
Hey Denise! I’m guessing by the talk of two gallon bags that you mean my Bags to Dishes meals. I have about six or so of those recipes on the site and haven’t added any in a while but if you have any ideas for some please let me know!
I LOVE your website! It is AWESOME! It’s more than just recipes, it’s all the extra things you share about who you are, how you live and what you believe. You are refreshing!!!!!
Thank you so much Lynne!!!
