Many of you have written that you are having a difficult time finding Pioneer Baking Mix in your local Wal Marts. I spoke with my extremely kind contact at Pioneer and she says they are working on getting it back in all of the stores. If you’ll just let the manager know you want it, they can get it in for you!

Also courtesy of Pioneer Brand, here is a recipe and photo for ya! I haven’t got to try this yet so y’all let me know if you do! I hope to make it this week because it sure looks good (I’m making it for supper one night!).

  1. I love Pioneer gravy mixes—when I can find them. One of my favorite ways to use the brown gravy mix is to add 1 packet with 1 an cream of chicken soup plus 1 packet beef stew seasoning, stir well and pour over a roast in the crockpot. Do not all water unless mixture is too thick to pour over then 1/4 cup or less should do it. cover and let this simmer over low 8 to 12 hours. It makes the best roast beef and gravy.

  2. I just signed up and can’t wait to start receiving your emails. I love the charm of your site and have to admit the one skillet dish above looks hardy yet delicious!

    Thanks,

  3. As a farmer, I love to make filling breakfasts to hold us over until we get home for lunch. This recipe sounds delicious. I like that I can assemble it and then put in the oven to finish while I get ready for my day. Can’t wait to try it. Sometimes I find Pioneer Brand products at the local bread store. Thanks for the recipe.
