A few weeks back I posted about my back to school resolution and how it has become a challenge in the middle of my ever growing schedule to find time to make supper each night. I’ve employed some creative solutions such as cooking up meals ahead of time, freezing, and using my slow cooker more. I’ve even tried ~takes a breath~ planning. I hate that part of it. I’m really a fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants gal when it comes to supper. I like to just wait and see what I’m in the mood for when it comes time to cook. I also don’t enjoy cooking ahead as that takes the fun out of getting to cook each night for me, but I’m working on developing new habits in order to be able to adjust to a more demanding work schedule and still keep family the top priority – and it’s working.
Today, I’d like for you to tell me how your back to school resolutions are going and we have a special treat for those who leave a comment!

Thanks for this website. I am an Alabama native living in South Carolina, so I love the Alabama connection. My back-to-school resolutions are just like any of my others…three steps forward and two steps back.
Great giveaway!
Thanks for all the great recipes, I always look forward to seeing what is new. I tried the crockpot roast last week with my family, and it was such a hit! I think this might be the best year yet for my kids.

Our goal is to have all homework done by 7 pm and that our 2nd grade daughter starts her homework in after school care. To help with this every night I show her what she needs to work on the next day and before I drop her off at school I remind her again. So far, so good! Thanks for all of hte great recipes!
Christy, I have really enjoyed reading your post everyday, my family and I have really enjoyed all of the quick meal ideas and recipes. I too, am one of those people that like to wait and see what everyone is in the mood for supper. Thank you so much for all of your tips, I feel as though you are talking to me personally.
