A few weeks back I posted about my back to school resolution and how it has become a challenge in the middle of my ever growing schedule to find time to make supper each night. I’ve employed some creative solutions such as cooking up meals ahead of time, freezing, and using my slow cooker more. I’ve even tried ~takes a breath~ planning. I hate that part of it. I’m really a fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants gal when it comes to supper. I like to just wait and see what I’m in the mood for when it comes time to cook. I also don’t enjoy cooking ahead as that takes the fun out of getting to cook each night for me, but I’m working on developing new habits in order to be able to adjust to a more demanding work schedule and still keep family the top priority – and it’s working.
Today, I’d like for you to tell me how your back to school resolutions are going and we have a special treat for those who leave a comment!

Would love to win but unfortunately I have no resolutions for you since I’m a grandmother but when I have the chance I try to encourage my grandkids. Times are tough so they need to have a good education
Hello, school is going great so far. Busy!
Finding your site was a Gift from God for me, Christy. You brighten every day…even the dullest, nastiest ones. What more could anyone ask for than wonderful recipés to try and many a good giggle reading your posts. God Bless you sweetie. As for the Nook….that would be something wonderful for me. Most of my reading is done in bed, and if there is a 700 page volume I’m reading at the time, it sure is tough on the wrist and hand holding the book. I would be surely blessed if I could count your great recipés….your bright and cheery humour…..and then to win the Nook. My goodness…..Who could ask for anything more. Looking forward to some really scrumpcious hearty winter meals. Winter will be here before we can sneeze!
hi! I love every recipe I’ve tried from your site. Congradulations on your success
Well, since we are raising our grandkids(ages 11 and 13) I didnt really make any school resolutions except to pray for them every day and to also say a BIG Thank you to the Lord that they are healthy.
Christy, I am no longer an active parent, but better yet, an active grandparent. I pick up my grandson from school every day, and try to give him positive feedback every afternoon. I am so glad I found your website, and love the postings you give us. And hey, two e-mails in one day is just fine with me!
You are always a positive force in days that are not always positive.
Thank you!
