How to Make Pepperoni Pizza Rolls
Start by preheating your oven to 425 F degrees. Spray a baking sheet with non-stick spray and set aside.
Lightly flour counter, cutting board or other clean flat surface and unroll the pizza crust on the floured surface.
Using a rolling pin, roll the crust into a 12×16 rectangle.
Spread the marinara sauce evenly over the pizza crust, leaving approximately 1″ space on both of the long ends.
Sprinkle the Italian seasoning evenly over the sauce.
Top the prepared dough with the cheese,
Then add pepperoni, bacon, green pepper, and parsley.
Starting with one of the long ends, roll the dough tightly into a log while carefully keeping the toppings in place.
Using a pizza cutter, or a serrated knife, cut the log into 12 – 1″ pieces.
Place each roll 2″ apart on prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until tops are a golden brown color. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 2-3 minutes.
Serve immediately with marinara sauce for dipping.
Tips For Making Pepperoni Pizza Rolls
- Lay a sheet of parchment paper down before flouring your counter, this will make cleanup a breeze.
- When cutting the rolled log, start with a cut in the middle, then cut the two halves in the middle, and then cut each of those sections into thirds. This will keep your slices even.
- A pizza cutter works great for a clean cut, if you don’t have a sharp serrated knife. Or you can even use a piece of kitchen string or dental floss that you loop around the log then pull across to slice each piece.
- I used precooked bacon for this recipe because it is softer and rolls best. If you prefer crispy bacon, you can cook your own bacon and crumble into fine pieces. You could use real bacon bits if you prefer!
- You could use any other pizza toppings you like as well, just make sure they are chopped small enough to roll well.
