Commonly Asked Questions about Cheesy Pull Apart Bread Christmas Wreath

Cheesy Pull Apart Bread Christmas Wreath completed

Can I make this ahead?

The simple answer is yes, you can.  However, the cheese won’t be as gooey as if you are just pulling this out of the oven just before you serve.  You can also prep everything up to the point of baking and then put in the refrigerator until you are ready to bake and serve.

What if I don’t have cranberries or fresh rosemary?

You can just leave them off! I often leave it “plain” for a tailgate or Super Bowl party!

Can I use fresh herbs instead of dried for the herbed butter?

Yes!  Dried herbs are more concentrated because the water content has been removed.  My general advise is to substitute 1 tablespoon of fresh herbs for every 1 teaspoon of dried herbs.  You can definitely play around with the ratios according to your taste and preference.  Just make sure to mince your fresh herbs fine so they will distribute evenly when you brush the butter mixture.
