How To Create a Cozy Fall Vignette

Howdy girlfriends! I’m so excited to share with you how simple it is to put together a cozy little fall vignette for your kitchen. For me, a cozy vignette is arranging a few of my favorite things in a basket, on a shelf, tray or tabletop. When you group them together they can tell a sweet story or spark a memory that warms your heart. It cheers and brightens up the nooks and crannies of your home. One key thing that I’ve learned over the years when it comes to decorating is to group things in odd numbers. I don’t know why it works, it just does! In this wire basket I’ve grouped together five simple but beautiful things…

1. A bowl of apples
2. A pumpkin
3. A cookbook (Our wonderful Christy Jordan’s Come Home to Supper!)
4. A plate
5. A jar of wheat

I also added an old book in the basket that will be hidden under the plaid dishcloth that will serve as a riser for the dish and the cookbook. Otherwise they would sit too low and not been seen as well.

The plaid dishcloth will warm up the wire basket and it’s something I already had. You could use a vintage tablecloth or a pretty piece of fabric too.

As you can see, I covered the old book with the dishcloth and added the jar of faux wheat. Any fall foliage will work.

Then I placed the dish in the back (on top of the hidden old book) and placed the bowl of fresh apples in the front of the basket.

Lastly, I added the pumpkin and Christy’s Come Home to Supper cookbook. As you can see, the items I chose match the colors on the cover of the cookbook. That’s what really ties everything together.

There you have it! Easy peasy and cozy fall vignette! Now when I’m chopping vegetables for supper I have something beautiful to look at! And that’s a good thing because beauty inspires and makes our heart happy!

Let’s put the “Sweet” back in Home, Sweet, Home!
