5-Minute Prep S’Mores Brownies

Before I get to the 5 Min Prep S’Mores Brownies: I get a lot of questions from folks on Facebook, comments on the site, and email asking how I’m doing and how I’ve been since the accident. When last I left off, I had taken my first steps and was learning to walk again.
You’ll need: Brownie mix (and ingredients needed to make it), graham crackers, chocolate chips, and either marshmallow cream or marshmallows.
And butter. You need butter. Margarine will work just fine.
~I wrote something incredibly funny and creative here but realized it would spawn a lot of emails from folks not as gifted as we are with a sense of humor, so I deleted it. *sigh* This is why I’m way funnier in person…or around large groups of folks who don’t have access to my email address 😉 ~
I am using the 8×8 package of brownie mix but you can use the 9×13 if you like, just double the marshmallows, chocolate chips, and graham crackers.
Line baking dish with graham crackers (you don’t have to grease it).
Melt your butter and brush it over the tops of the graham crackers.
Prepare brownie batter according to package directions and spread on top of graham crackers. Sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
Bake according to package directions. Remove from oven and turn broiler on low.
This is a horrible picture but we are in the middle of our third winter so far this year 😉 So bear with me
Sprinkle marshmallows all over top or drop marshmallow cream by dollops over top, then gently spread to edges.
Sprinkling Marshmallows over the top would be easier and quicker, but for this tutorial I didn’t have them, only marshmallow cream leftover from fudge making at Christmas time. So I went with what I have. No sense in making a special trip when you can make do instead!
Place under broiler (at least six inches away from it) for 1-2 minutes, or until lightly browned on top. Watch carefully and do not leave unattended while it is browning because this will happen fast.
Allow to cool sligtly.
Cut, serve, enjoy!

Hi Christy….your new book was delivered to my door yesterday. I am excited to start in! This morning we stopped at staples to have it ring bound so it would lay flat. After getting home I looked at the cover and realized that had your publisher reversed the two cover sections the ring binding wouldn’t have affected the title! So…when they do the second printing (which I really think should happen) have them switch the title to the outside edge and move your picture to the bound edge!
Say hi to Rick for me…he stopped by with my son, Todd, a few years back and we sent him on his way with some of our gourmet lollipops! Sure hope they made it home to the kids!
Linda
What a neat idea, Linda. I dint know they did that.
$4.23 and it is ring bound and lays flat! So worth it! It’s a lesson learned from a Beth Moore Bible study years ago. The books lay flat and are easier to make notes in or to write out answers.
So glad to hear that God helped you mend so well, Christy! Thanks once again for your wise words and another chocolate recipe that looks extra yummy in that gorgeous blue baking dish!!!
Whoa, I’m gonna make this tonight.
I love it that I only have to buy brownie mix on my way home from work and I can use up all my stuff from not enough time this year to do my “Christmas time” baking. The marshmallow creme snacking at night has to stop 😉
Interesting recipe and so glad to read that you are walking well and
recovering from the accident. Love your website with useful, good info.
Thanks for all of your efforts to please everybody.
Girl, I just love you! Love your attitude, your spirit & of course your recipes. Your posts are like a ray of sunshine. And I’m seriously wondering what funny thing you were going to say. I guess like those Tootsie Pops, ” the world may never know”! Lol 😉
heehee! Thank you so much, I just love you right back!!!!! You just lifted me up and I feel like I’m in the clouds now!
😉 If I ever see ya in person just ask …
You need to get you a special “Christy’s Humor” button on the side of the Website. Then we folks who want to know can click on it and roll around laughing and giggling.
Just kidding.
I was just thinking about your recovery today, and hoping all was going well. I’ll keep praying for you and for all your kin, too.
Thank you so much for all your prayers and thoughts Bonny!!
Wow! An immediate crust! Reckon you could use this trick with shortbread cookies, any kind of sweet cracker, vanilla wafers, etc.??? Maybe something in the pizza-casserole department on a bed of garlicky crackers…the mind boggles! Think I will give it a try!!! Thanks- God bless you and your wonderful family….stay warm!
OH I bet it would work great! I just tried it out because I didn’t want to fool with making a graham crust and it worked perfectly —and now your brilliance has made me hungry 😉
Looks SO YUMMY Christy! And I am so hungry, lol.
I have been reading a book about marriage by Clayton and Charie King, and in a chapter about respect, Charie writes how the “en” prefix of ENCOURAGE means “to put into”, so when we encourage a person we are essentially putting courage into them.
The “dis” prefix of discourage means “to separate from”, so when we discourage someone, we are separating them from their courage.
What a statement about the importance of encourage our spouses and children, and others in our lives.
Thanks for the ENCOURAGEMENT, Christy~ 🙂
Oh wow. Julianne…wow. I’m stunned speechless with the wisdom you just shared. Thank you so much!
This so beautiful thank you for sharing. A bad thing happened at my daughters school today and this was so perfect to read.
Praying for whatever you are going through Marsha. Hang in there.
