With winter in full swing, I’m bringing you all sorts of fantastic soup and stew recipes to warm up with.
A savory soup version of stuffed peppers, and it only has to simmer half an hour before it’s ready!
This chowder came about when I combined all of my favorite flavors in one pot 🙂
There is a secret ingredient in this stew that gives it a punch of flavor!
Some people call this Brunswick Stew. A lot of bbq joints in the south serve it during the cold winter months because two of the main ingredients are pulled pork and bbq sauce! You can easily substitute chicken for the pork, though.
I love potato soups of all kinds, but THIS is my favorite.
Spicy, Cheesy, Wonderful.
Simply Delicious Chicken And Rice Soup
This soup is simple to make and absolutely delicious. It’s one of those comforting meals you can throw together in the time it takes to cook your rice using a store bought rotisserie chicken, or you can do it the long way and cook the chicken yourself. The ingredients are few, but they are enough to give it a wonderful flavor that will have ‘em coming back for more.
This is our family’s chicken stew recipe. We make it whenever we think about it, which is often. Because it is that good.
This is in my crock pot right now and when I finish this post, I’ma gonna go get me a bowl!
I have actually had folks complain that this soup was too simple. Then they try it. And they hush. The end.
If you’re hankering for an all around good tomato soup to go with some gooey grilled cheese sandwiches, this is it.
Ready in fifteen minutes and bursting with flavor!
I am not big on going out to eat but when I do, I usually want to go to Olive Garden just to get this soup! (The rest of the time, I want to go to Cracker Barrel). Pair it with Tuscan House Dressing from Kraft and some warm breadsticks (heat and eat from the freezer) and you’ve recreated my favorite “out to eat” meal!

We are having the Chicken Tortilla soup tonight! One of my favorite middle of the week go to meals, so easy to make and so tasty. Adding a can of kidney beans is also a good addition! Thank you Christy!
So love all of these recipes and all of your posts. Thanks for keeping us warm on this freezing day
Yeah, buddy… I am missing Georgia today. =) Wind chill of negative 22 degrees where we live now…
Excellent post for today! Thanks, Christy!
The Stuffed Pepper soup is awesome and one of our favorites, second only to the Taco soup. Great soups in this cold weather we are having…6 degrees outside. Using frozen bell peppers is so fast and easy and the flavor is incredible in this soup. The Taco Soup, we make double recipe and freeze it to have for those “what do you want for dinner” moments when you do not feel like a long time in the kitchen. Thank you for emailed updates…read everyone of them.
Thank you! How’d you know these would be welcomed up here in Missouri where we’ve got 20-30 below ZERO wind chills…..BRRRRRRRR 🙂
Christy, thanks for the warmth in more ways than one (soul, mind, and tummy). Soups and Stews are my favorite meal in the world 365 days a year. Today is a great day to make some as it sure is cold here in Texas! Your chicken stew is my all time favorite. I’ve made it so often that I no longer have to look at the recipe.
Hi Christy,
I still see your posts often, but my life has been so scattered for so long with family moving from place to place and us visiting from place to place according to the schedule of others and the wonderful blessing of more grandchildren (11 now) none of whom live nearby that I have not kept up with correspondence and comments. Know that you are still so dear to me. I love your posts and your sweet smile and your delightfully positive life.
Love to you, Janie
